CAMRA Durham Launches New Regatta Beer Festival

Following on from the Rugby Club Festival and Bishop Auckland Food Festival, CAMRA Durham is proud to announce the first ever Durham Regatta Beer Festival.

A joint effort between Durham CAMRA and the Durham Regatta, the festival will be open from 5pm-11pm on the Friday and Saturday of the Regatta weekend (June 7th and 8th).

CAMRA Launches "Fair Deal For Your Local" Campaign

After the success of the Axe The Tax campaign, CAMRA has launched a new campaign aimed at persuading the Government to reform the tied pubco model.

This model requires tenants to buy their beer from the company who owns the pub, meaning tied pubs can only stock a beer if it's offered by their pub company, and only at prices set by the pub company. Pubco tenants also have no independent adjudicator to settle disputes.

The Government is holding a consultation on its proposals, and CAMRA is calling for:

Bishop Auckland Food Festival: Battle of the Beers Results

CAMRA Durham is pleased to announce the winners of the Battle of the Beers competition at the BAFF Beer and Wine Festival. The winners are:

  1. Insular Art (Sonnet 43)
  2. Drunken Monk (Tyne Bank Brewery)
  3. Illuminate (Durham Brewery)

All three beers are currently available at the festival, which runs until 10pm today. Entry is now free, so don't miss out!

Bishop Auckland Food Festival: Battle of the Beers Results

CAMRA Durham Brings Beer to Bishop Auckland Food Festival

This year's Bishop Auckland Food Festival features a new beer and wine festival, in association with Durham CAMRA. The festival, which runs from Friday the 19th of April to Sunday the 21st of April, will feature 60 beers from across the North East, Cumbria and Yorkshire, along with beer tastings and food-matching talks.
