The Campaign for Real Ale has revealed the best pubs across Britain to mark the close of its Summer of Pub campaign - an initiative to encourage pub-going throughout the warmer months.
Feel that your local pub is a vital asset to your local community and afraid of what would happen if it were to close? Then you may be interested in an upcoming CAMRA workshop on how to nominate your local as an "Asset of Community Value" (ACV).
Stockton Beer Festival to be held on 25th - 27th February at ARC, Dovecot Street, Stockton-on-Tees, TS18 1LL.
The venue is a 3 minute walk from Stockton High Street for those using buses.
10 minutes from Stockton railway station (Northern trains from the North-East)
15 minutes from Thornaby railway station (Trans Pennine from Manchester via Leeds, York, Thirsk & Northallerton / Northern trains from Darlington).
CAMRA members have until 1 November to nominate regional beers that go forward to the North East & Yorkshire Champion Beer of Britain competition. The winners from this area competition are put forward as finalists to the national Champion Beer of Britain competition at the Great British Beer Festival and the National Winter Ales Festival.

With voters heading to the polls on 7th May, now is the perfect time to ensure pubs and real ale are priorities for the next Government. CAMRA has now launched its General Election campaign and has produced a Manifesto for Pubs and Real Ale.

To vote, go to http://www.cbobvoting.org.uk and log in using your member login details. You will then be able to nominate up to five beers in each of the eleven categories.
It's that time of year again - CAMRA members have until the end of this year to nominate their favourite beers for next year's Champion Beer of Britain and Champion Winter Beer of Britain contests.
To cast your vote, go to www.cbobvoting.org.uk and log in using your CAMRA login details. You can then select up to five beers for each category using the lists provided. There are eleven categories, and you can vote in as many or as few as you wish.
