Hill Island celebrates 10th Anniversary with mini beer festival

Hill Island brewery celebrates its 10th anniversary this Saturday with a mini beer festival at the brewery in Fowler's Yard, Durham. The festival will be open from 2pm to 10pm, with 6 beers available at £2.50 per pint. Takeaway containers, minicasks and bottles will also be available.

Durham CAMRA recently lost two of its stalwart members – Denis and Evelyn Simpson – who have moved from the North East to the South West to be near their daughter.

Cheque presented to Gambling Man

Durham CAMRA present The Gambling Man Brewing Company a presentation cheque for the cask of beer they are delivering by foot on Tuesday to the beer festival in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance. John Corbett, Gambling Man's Brewery Liaison Officer for Durham CAMRA will also be walking with the guys. Look out in the Durham edition of the Northern Echo and the Durham Times for a special photo and feature from tonight.
