Durham CAMRA Seeks Volunteers for New Beer Festival

The First Joint Durham CAMRA and Durham City Rugby Football Club Beer Festival

This March sees Durham CAMRA's first joint spring beer festival, in partnership with Durham Rugby Club. The festival will run from March 7th-10th and will feature 48 ales across the event.

Are you interested in helping out at the festival? Volunteering at beer festivals is great fun as well as a great way of ensuring more festivals can happen. If you're interested, please fill in a staffing form (available here) and return it to the Festival Director.

CAMRA Durham to assist New Inn with Beer Festival

This March, CAMRA Durham are helping a pub with a beer festival for the first time. The New Inn in Durham will be holding their festival from March 14th to March 17th, with 13 different beers available. The festival's opening times are 11am until midnight on all four days.

Durham CAMRA are supplying bars, handpulls and cooling equipment to help make the festival as successful as possible. This marks the beginning of a new venture for the branch - we hope to assist many more pubs with similar festivals in future. If your pub is interested in holding a festival, and would like a little help, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Save your Pint Mass Lobby of Parliament

Save Your Pint As you probably know, the Save Your Pint e-petition reached the 100,000 signatures mark, and triggered a parliamentary debate. To build on this, CAMRA intends to carry out a mass lobby of Parliament, to make sure our MPs are aware of the strength of feeling on this issue. The mass lobby will take place on Wednesday the 12th of December, and CAMRA has set up a dedicated website for the lobby. You can find more information about the event at www.saveyourpintlobby.org.uk.
