Durham CAMRA Events

The August branch meeting will be on Wednesday 25th August at 1930. The venue is the Dun Cow in Durham (back room). We look forward to seeing many of you there to discuss branch business, have a pint of real ale or two and of course, enjoy the good company of your fellow CAMRA members.

We will be heading outside Durham City in the September and October meetings - more details to come.

The Branch is pleased to announce our first mini-bus trip since lockdown to the Grey Horse Beer Festival at Consett on Saturday 7th August. The cost for this trip will be £10, payable on the day in cash.

Pick up points and detailed itinerary will follow but we will also be visiting another pub within our area for a survey. We hope that you can come along and that this sets the scene for a future programme of interesting visits within the region and then venturing further afield.

Our first in-person meeting since March of 2020 will be in the Station House, Durham, starting at 1930. A special guest at the meeting will be Paul Howell MP, who is keen to chat informally with members about all matters ale, pubs, clubs, cider and brewing.

If you intend to come along it would be helpful to let us know by emailing the secretary, just so we have an idea of numbers.

Trip from Durham to the beer festival being held at the Grey Horse in Consett. This trip will pick up from the bus stop opposite The Bridge Hotel just off North Road at 18:30. Additonal pick ups between here and Consett may be possible but cannot be guaranteed.

A chance to visit some of the branches most popular pubs as chosen by our members.

(Please note that this trip is now full.)
