Starting at 1900 at the Station House and led by Steven Spencer, the branch secretary, this is the opening night of the CAMRA Durham celebration.
1945 we will move on to the Elm Tree.
2100 we will head over to the Half Moon and finish at 2200is in the Dun Cow or the Vic depending on preferences of those involved.

Held in a larger venue than usual, this meeting is a chance for members to come along and not only find out what is going on in our branch, but also to meet fellow real ale and cider drinkers.
If it is your first time at a CAMRA meeting you can claim a free pint! There will also be free 'stuff' available, from glasses to polo shirts.
A group of committee members and members will be continuing the series of mid-week meet ups on Wednesday, 8th September 2021. This one will be to Spennymoor, starting at the Frog and Ferret and completing at the Little Tap, with the Grand Electric Hall and Penny Gill en route.
For those able to make the start, the plan is to catch the X21 from Durham North Road at 12:05, reaching Spennymoor Precinct at 12:24 and from there on foot to the Frog and Ferret. There are regular buses back to Durham and to other places.

We are planning a visit to the Yard of Ale Beer Festival at the Surtees Arms on Saturday 4th September. It will be an evening visit from 5 until 10 o'clock and food is available at the festival to accompany a wide range of ales.

People going will be heading on the train, though buses are available. The first will arrive in Shildon at 1214, so will be in George Samuel's by 1230ish. There are regular buses and trains back to Durham and to other places until relatively late.
