Durham CAMRA Events

Wed Oct 12th for branch meeting in Stapylton Arms, Hawthorn. The minibus will be available for pickup and return to Durham and suitable pre-arranged, convenient points in between at £5 per head. If you wish to have a  place on the minibus, please email: secretary@camradurham.org.uk 

On Wednesday 28th September we will visit the Weardale towns of Stanhope and Wolsingham. The Weardale bus is the 101, operated by Weardale Motor Services and it may be picked up from Bishop Auckland or Crook Market Place. The plan is to get the 101 service which arrives at Stanhope Market Place at 12:45. It leaves Bishop Auckland bus station at 12:00 reaching Crook Market Place at 12:15. We can visit the Bonny Moorhen, Pack Horse and Grey Bull. Leaving Stanhope Market Place at 14:50 we arrive at Wolsingham Market Place at 15:05.

Our September 2022 Branch Meeting will take place at The Victoria on Hallgarth Street from 7:30pm.

The July branch meeting will be at 1930 at the Woodman on Claypath, Durham.

We hope to have a councillor present once again as part of our engagment with local politicians to further the aims of our campaign.

As with all meetings, if this is your first meeting as a CAMRA durham member you can claim a free pint on the night.

On 16th July a minibus tour will take place leaving from the CAMRA
Durham branch area and travelling to some great pubs and clubs
covering town and country in the Tyneside and Northumberland region
encompassing Haltwhistle, Anick, Morpeth and Gosforth. This will
include branch Pub and Club of the Year winners where we will appraise
them for entry into regional awards.

Meet at Kings Head, Lanchester around 1330. The recommended bus service if travelling from Durham is the X15 at 1300 arriving at Lanchester at 1321. Both the X15 and X5 services go to Lanchester and run every 30 minutes. https://whatpub.com/pubs/DUR/6487/kings-head-lanchester
