About Beamish Football Centre
Beamish Football Centre is a much-loved community facility in Stanley, County Durham, and the home of Beamish FC. Every week, more than 800 young people from across the North East take part in grassroots football here. Following a £1.6m refurbishment in 2024, our modern facilities now support a wide range of events, training, and community activities. As a not-for-profit social enterprise (established in 2011), we reinvest everything back into the community – from hosting the town’s famous fireworks display to delivering event management services across the region.
Introducing the 2025 “Local Brews & Canny Views” Beer Festival
In 2025 we are launching our first-ever beer festival at the newly refurbished Centre. “Local Brews & Canny Views” will feature over 30 local beers, ciders, and casks, alongside great street food and live entertainment. We expect this to become an annual highlight, drawing in the local community and visitors from across the Northeast. Importantly, all proceeds from the festival will go directly to supporting the development of young people at Beamish FC.
