CAMRA Durham

COVID-19

We are now starting to see a period in the easing of lockdown regulations with Pubs and Clubs allowed to re-open from July 4th for on-sales. We are aware that a number of Pubs and Clubs intend to re-open on this date, whilst some are delaying re-opening until they can put in sufficient measures to keep staff and customers safe. We are also, sadly, aware that some venues have also announced that they will not be re-opening.

We have updated our page detailing the current COVID-19 situation around our Pubs, Clubs and Breweries. We urge you to visit this page at https://www.camradurham.org.uk/covid-19 on a regular basis to see what is going on. We are now providing a list of known re-openings or intended re-opening dates. There are also links on that page to email the Branch to update us on any missing or inaccurate information. We really need your help; but please only find this information while keeping in-line with current UK Government guidance.

You may also wish to engage with CAMRA's national campaign, #pullingtogether, through the national website at https://camra.org.uk/pullingtogether/ or over on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/pullingtogetherforpubspintsandpeople/

Above all, please remain safe at this time. Remember there are ways to continue to enjoy and support real ale and local businesses without putting yourself or others at risk. We look forward to seeing you all in the, hopefully, not too distant future.

Welcome to the official website for the Durham Branch of CAMRA.

CAMRA Durham represent CAMRA across most of County Durham leading local campaigns to save our real ale pubs, clubs and breweries, and campaigning for a fair deal for real ale drinkers. We are also responsible for organising the annual CAMRA Durham Beer Festival. This is usually held after the August Bank Holiday in Durham City and showcases real ales from both local and national brewers along with a number of real ciders and perries. More information on the Beer Festival can be found on our sister site http://www.durhambeerfestival.org.uk/. Run by a committee of volunteers, we meet on a monthly basis in pubs around the Branch area to discuss local and national matters as well as general Branch business. These meetings are open to all CAMRA members. We also hold regular social gatherings where members can get together without the formal business of the monthly meeting. More information on the Branch, committee and our activities can be found here on our website. Please note that we are in the process of making major alterations to our website so we apologise if things go a little wrong over the next few weeks. If you experience any problems, please email the webmaster.
