Pubs in County Durham

map of pubs

There are about 700 licensed premises the Durham branch area, including pubs, clubs, community venues, and some restaurants. We are currently trying to compile a list of all of the pubs in the branch, so if you would like to help us with this by providing information on your local, please let us know by contacting the Pubs Officer or the Webmaster. Our long-term goal is to publish a searchable database of pubs on this page, with input from pubs, regulars and visitors.

The branch has a dedicated Pubs Officer, who liaises with pubs and clubs in the branch area. The Pubs Officer reports to branch meetings about events, changes and interesting developments. The Pubs Officer can also look into complaints about pubs, helping to ensure genuine issues are treated seriously and false rumours are corrected, to the advantage of both pub and patron. If you would like to share news about or experiences of a pub, good or bad, the Pubs Officer can be contacted at the email address above.

The branch maintains an information leaflet on real ale pubs in Durham City, which can be found on the Ale Trail page.
