History of the Durham Beer Festival

2008 Durham Beer Festival

The 2008 Durham Beer Festival will be held on August 28th to 30th at Dunelm House (Durham Students' Union) on New Elvet in Durham City. The Festival will be open 17:00 until 23:00 on August 28th, 11:00 until 23:00 on August 29th and 11:00 until 23:00 (or we run out of beer!) on August 30th.

If you want to help advertise the festival, you can download the festival poster. (pdf format)

Disabled Access

Our venue, Dunelm House, have made improvements to access for the disabled over the past couple of years. This includes an internal stair-lift and the provision of a ramp from the car park into the ballroom. If you have any queries regarding disabled access, please contact the Festival Organizer.

Helpers

If you would like to help out at the 2008 Festival, we need people on Tuesday - Thursday, 26 - 28 August 2008, to help set up for the festival. We then need people to help staff the festival on Thursday - Saturday, 28 - 30 August, and then we need people to help dismantle the equipment on Sunday 31st August.

Alternatively, you can download a staffing form to print off and mail back to us. (pdf format)

If you think you will be able to help, please complete our online Helper Form. We offer beer tokens in return for you donating us your time as well as an invitation to a helper thank you and new members social; details of which will be provided at the festival.
